The Western
Matriculation School provides a solid academic foundation supplemented by
an educational programme that includes four core principles.
These core principles, World Citizenship, Universal Values,
Leadership Qualities and Forward Thinking are part of the planned
curriculum of The Western Matriculation School and help to develop each
student's potential. |

World Citizenship
Students explore the environment, social and economic issues
from around the world that teach them to understand and accept
cultural differences, values and opinions. Students learn to
adopt a global perspective and understand how they can make
a difference to the world. |

|
|
 |
|
Universal
Values
Students develop the values, principles and ethics that are
respected, admired and accepted in cultures around the world.
Students are taught healthy social attitudes and a spirit of
humanity, providing them with the ethical foundation and solid
social skills to guide them through life. |

Leadership
Qualities
From an early age, our leadership programmes encourage students
to express themselves confidently, to solve problems, seek solutions
and make informed decisions. Our programmes are aimed at developing
each student's own, individual potential for leadership, to
discover and aspire to one's own special area of excellence. |

Forward
Thinking
ICT is taught as a stand-alone subject and is integrated throughout
the curriculum as a teaching and learning tool. Students learn
to become proficient in the use of ICT and its applications
right from the time that they start school. As a result, they
also develop the valuable skills of research, reporting and
analysis. |
